Location: North Inlet, Georgetown, SC, in a saltmarsh creek. Summer 2015. This is a living specimen.

Notes: These strange-looking amphipods are highly modified for cling to hydroids or sponges with their hind legs. Occasionally, they are swept off of the bottom by strong tidal currents typical of saltmarsh creeks.
