Collected: Assateague Island, VA 500 m from shore using an epibenthic sled fitted with plankton net, 365 micrometer mesh
Notes: Libinia is one of several common and widespread spider crabs. This one is most likely Libinia dubia (longnose spider crab). The spines on the telson of L. dubia are stouter than those of L. emarginata (portly spider crab).
